Ong, who was with TBWA Malaysia for 3 years and rose to deputy ECD in eight months, will report to Gavin Simpson, Ogilvy's Hong Kong's ECD.
He said: "The lure of working in exciting Hong Kong and also with Gavin was enough to make my decision easy. Besides O&M is the region's most creative agency."
TBWA Malaysia is currently searching for a replacement for Ong and will name his successor in the coming weeks.
