Landing on the address launches a pop-up window into which the home page loads. So far, so good - looks like a futuristic Flash website.
As the page loads, you sit there staring at the "page loading ..." animation and wait. This becomes a theme, with this little animation popping up seemingly every time you click on a link.
My first reaction to the site was, "this is a classic example of a bad use of Flash technology."
Then on the third visit, I got impatient and started clicking around a bit and discovered the bizarre part: It's not Flash - it's HTML pages built to look like Flash pages, right down to the little "page loading ..." animation! When you look at the code, you understand that the site is painfully slow due to the way it's built, and this is exacerbated by their attempt to mimic a Flash presentation.
In short, it's the worst of both worlds - they have managed to build a static HTML site that loads slower than a similar Flash site. The lack of technical finesse plays itself out to visitors in the form of a site which initially promises a futuristic rich media experience, but instead under-delivers with slow, old-fashioned technology. I hope the same design philosophy is not incorporated into their products.
