One in 10 turn to blogs: Synovate

One in 10 Asians access weblogs on a weekly basis for news and current affairs, according to a Synovate study.

While TV remains the news media staple, the News Consumption study of 7,900 respondents found that consumers enjoy a wide diet of news, from entertainment to current affairs, from a variety of media. "Be it through new media like weblogs and mobile phones, or the traditional staples of TV, newspaper and radio, keeping in touch is very important to Asian consumers," said Synovate director of media research, Steve Garton.
