While representatives from each agency declined to comment, it is thought that DDB, PHD and Fleishman-Hillard have been retained for next year’s launch following a pitch against two other agency combinations.
The City of Dreams, owned by James Packer’s Melco PBL, is seen as the core component of the Australian company’s strategy in Macau.
However the mega-resort, which is being developed on the Cotai Strip, has been plagued by delays. The Beijing Government placed a moratorium on new casino construction - after the Melco approval - a move that is expected to benefit Melco’s growth prospects in the city.
