Omnicom acquires Unisono

Omnicom has acquired a majority stake in China-based field marketing company, Unisono Fieldmarketing International, which will operate under Omnicom's Diversified Agency Services (DAS) banner. <BR><BR> Unisono Fieldmarketing boasts a 2000-strong operation across 25 Chinese cities and its services include satellite mapping and field force management and reporting system, POP Monitor. Omnicom Group vice-chairman and Omnicom Asia Pacific chairman and CEO Michael Birkin (left) said in a statement: "It adds substantial scale and reach to meet the increasing needs of our clients in China's rapidly growing consumer goods and services market." Olaf Litjens (right), CEO Unisono Fieldmarketing will continue to head the operation.
