Omnicom Media Group has named Winnie Chen-Head as CEO of its Malaysia operations, effective 19 March 2025. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Chen-Head will lead strategy, operations, and the development of transformative capabilities to drive growth for the agency in Malaysia.

She takes over from Eileen Ooi, who stepped into the role of CEO of PHD Asia Pacific in September 2024 and has been juggling both positions since.

Chen-Head most recently served as managing director of media at Dentsu Malaysia, a role she assumed in April 2024. Prior to this, she was head of product & solutions for Dentsu Malaysia's media business, a position she held since joining the company in 2021. With more than 20 years of experience in marketing, she has held several leadership roles in the e-commerce, aviation, telecommunications, and software industries.

Her appointment comes at a time of growth for the shop. OMG Malaysia has added to its portfolio, with recent wins and retentions, including OPPO, Wipro Unza, CelcomDigi, Vinda, and Friesland Campina. It has won accolades for its business performance and culture at the local award circuit.

“Winnie steps into this role at a pivotal time, building on a strong foundation of success,” said Tony Harradine, CEO of OMG Asia Pacific. “She is one of the most respected and proven leaders in the market, and her expertise will be instrumental in leading OMG Malaysia into its next stage of growth. Her focus on transformative solutions will ensure we continue to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients, their customers, and our teams.”

Chen-Head added: “My focus will be on helping clients achieve their business ambitions through innovative and strategic thinking, working alongside the talented teams at OMG Malaysia. Together, we will lead the next chapter of transformation and growth.”

Chen-Head will report to Harradine as she assumes leadership of OMG Malaysia.
