OMG opens M2M to handle Estée Lauder's Hong Kong media

HONG KONG - Omnicom Media Group(OMG) has rolled out its M2M unit in Hong Kong to service New York-based cosmetic and skincare company Estée Lauder.

M2M already services the client in China, Australia, Japan and Korea. Besides the core Estée Lauder brand, M2M oversees most of its portfolio including Clinique, Aramis, Lab Series, MAC, Bobbi Brown and Origins. WPP firm Maxus handled the business in Hong Kong beforehand.

M2M is a tailored advertising servicing network that focuses on the luxury and premium sectors. The Hong Kong office currently works solely on Estée Lauder

Caroline Chan, general manager of M2M Hong Kong, said: “The thing about Estée Lauder is that it is more than a brand name. It is a heritage brand that is close to the hearts of many around the world - from generation to generation.”

Estée Lauder announced a split in the global media planning and buying business early last year. Mindshare was appointed as its North American agency (worth US$132 million for the United States and $24 million for Canada). OMG won the $173 million business for the UK, Europe and Asia . The Hong Kong appointment is part of this consolidation effort.
