OMD's Tu departs agency

SINGAPORE - The regional digital director of OMD Asia-Pacific Andrew Tu (pictured) will depart the agency after two years.

According to sources close to Tu, he decided to leave the company on his own accord and has not released his next move.

In Singapore, Tu has helped to bolster OMD’s digital business in the region and has played a key role in the management of accounts including Hewlett-Packard, Intel, Johnson & Johnson and Visa.

He has been in the digital and media industries for nearly 20 years in client and agency offices in Asia and the US. In Asia-Pacific, Tu helped launch Ogilvy Interactive in Hong Kong and later joined Y&R Singapore to manage its SingTel account.

He has also worked at Microsoft and helped to develop MSN Asia’s sales teams during the dotcom boom. He also spent time in Malaysia, where he was general manager of Astro to direct its digital development.
