OMD wins Mercedes-Benz brief

BEIJING - OMD Beijing has landed the account for the new Mercedes-Benz E 230 marque, brushing aside competition from Zenith Media to take the business.

According to Elaine Ip, OMD China’s managing director, the agency was invited by Beijing Benz-DaimlerChrysler Automotive (BBDC) to pitch for the business in late June.

OMD had previously worked with the client, a joint venture between Mercedes-Benz parent company Daimler Chrysler and Beijing Automotive, on two ad-hoc projects.

The launch campaign, with WE Marketing Group leading creative, is expected to roll out by the end of July and will run until yearend.
