OMD retains Visa Asia-Pacific

SAN FRANCISCO - After a lengthy review, OMD has retained media duties for Visa in Asia-Pacific and the US.

The decision comes after the credit card giant narrowed its review to a final round which included the Omnicom Group agency and European incumbent MEC. According to source, the fate of the European business remains unclear.

The total global business is valued at approximately US$650 million, while the pitch brief called for a particular focus on Visa’s Fifa sponsorship strategy (Media, 11 September).
