OMD International launches in Singapore

SINGAPORE - Omnicom's OMD has rolled out its multinational client unit OMD International in Singapore.

The launch comes almost a year after the Omnicom Media Group agency's win of Johnson & Johnson (Media 13 July), a client which recently shifted its regional headquarters from Hong Kong to Singapore.

Intel, another recently won global client (Media, 29 April), and Visa will also be handled through the new unit, to be housed at OMD's regional headquarters at Springleaf Tower.

Leela Nair (pictured) will run OMD International Singapore and will jointly manage the regional unit with Torie Henderson, MD of OMD International in Hong Kong.

Barry Cupples, CEO of OMG Asia-Pacific, said: "Our regional and global business has grown from strength to strength over the past two years, and OMD International will spearhead the delivery of enhanced media services on all key global and regional accounts."

OMD’s client base includes ExxonMobil, Visa, McDonald's, Pernod Ricard and Standard Chartered Bank.
