OMD China wins media buying, planning for Lashou.com

SHANGHAI – Lashou.com, a leading group buying website in China, has appointed OMD China to handle its media planning and buying business, effective immediately.

Lashou.com partners with OMD in China.

Sources close to the business said Lashou.com plans to significantly step up its investment in advertising and marketing to maintain its market leading position as competitor Tencent develops plans for a group buying joint venture with Groupon.

Lashou.com, which bought all media in-house in the past, has been growing rapidly over the past two years and the momentum of growth is expected to continue.

The win adds to the Omnicom Media Group agency's client portfolio of internet companies, which also includes Monster.com.
