O&M dominates TACT show with haul of 18 prizes
<p>BANGKOK: Ogilvy & Mather Thailand took the lion's share of prizes </p><p>at the 25th Top Advertising Content of Thailand (TACT) awards. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>It won 18 prizes, including 12 golds and the much-coveted most creative </p><p>television commercial award for the multi-awarded "Torture" TVC for </p><p>Wrangler jeans. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>BBDO Bangkok came second with 12 awards and J. Walter Thompson third </p><p>with eight prizes. The Wrangler TVC features a woman washing her </p><p>boyfriend's jeans only to find a phone number and bra in one of the </p><p>pockets. The TVC also won the award for best production. "It was in our </p><p>business plan that we win awards and be number one at TACT," said O&M </p><p>managing director Witawat Jayapani. </p><p><BR><BR> </p><p>The night was capped by the presentation of the Chaweewan Award to </p><p>legendary creative, Barry Owen, the former creative head at O&M </p><p>Thailand, for his contribution to Thailand's ad industry. </p><p><BR><BR> </p>
