OgilvyOne survey shows optimism among Thai execs

Eighty per cent of Thai business executives believe that the Thai economy will be stronger in 2004 than in 2003, according to an OgilvyOne survey.

The poll also showed that although many respondents recognised the need to consider new methods of winning and retaining customers, traditional methods are still the most widely used. Kanokporn Nitheranont, managing director of OgilvyOne Thailand, said: "As a company devoted to managing customer relationships and building big brands from every point of contact, we find this very encouraging." Other key findings included 80 per cent of respondents intending to increase marketing investment in 2004 and 64 per cent saying that the internet and interactive media were good ways to reach certain segments of consumers.
