OgilvyOne sets up Nikko Japan JV
OgilvyOne Japan and online media specialist Nikko have formed a joint venture, representing the first foreign-affiliated online media agency in Japan. <BR><BR> Named neo@Ogilvy, the shop will offer full service digital and direct capabilities, focusing on planning and purchasing online media, and providing search engine marketing services. Nikko is one of six agencies certified to work with Japan's dominant search engine Overture, which holds about 70 per cent of the market, according to OgilvyOne chiefs. <BR><BR> Keizo Yamamoto will head up neo@Ogilvy as representative director, in addition to his current role as managing director and representative director of OgilvyOne Japan, while Yorihiko Kato, currently president and representative director of Nikko, takes on the additional role of director at neo@Ogilvy.
