TOKYO: OgilvyOne Worldwide has appointed Keiichi Hiraoka, 64,
chairman of OgilvyOne in Japan, where he will work alongside Keizo
Yamamoto, the unit's managing director.
Hiraoka joins from Nestle Japan, a growing Ogilvy client, where he was
communications director looking after all the marketing communication
functions until retirement earlier this year.
While at Nestle, Hiraoka helped implement a corporate CRM programme, one
of the first such initiatives by an FMCG marketer in Japan. His new role
will include training and contributing to business development.
CRM is playing an increasing role in the development of OgilvyOne's
business in Japan. It recently bought a stake in Japan's largest
independent data services company, Landscape, which collects Japanese
consumer information.
