OgilvyOne, OMD win Cirque du Soleil Macau

MACAU - OgilvyOne Hong Kong has deepened its relationship with entertainment complex Venetian Macao, picking up the brand strategy brief for Cirque du Soleil in Macau, in tandem with OMD.

OgilvyOne landed the business after a competitive two-way pitch against DDB, while OMD edged out MindShare.

The duo are tasked with developing the circus act’s communications platform, media strategy, industry partnerships and localising creative for its key target markets, while Neo@Ogilvy will handle digital.

Slated to open in mid-2008, Cirque de Soleil, which is overseen by the Las Vegas Sands Macau’s specialised entertainment unit, Base Entertainment, will run as a permanent show at the Venetian.

OgilvyOne picked up the Venetian Macao’s business earlier this year (Media, 9 March).
