OgilvyOne China boosts senior ranks

BEIJING - OgilvyOne China has unveiled a raft of new appointments in a bid to improve its digital offering in the mainland, with former RMG Connect creative Wang Daqing leading the new hires.

Daqing joins as executive creative director of the network’s Beijing operation and has been tasked with overseeing creative output from the agency’s Beijing office.

His decision to join OgilvyOne marks a return to agency life - he previously worked as an independent filmmaker responsible for a number of critically acclaimed movies, including Chinatown’s Butcher.

Joining Daqing is Katherine Huang, business director, Beijing, who returns to the mainland after a stint at Ogilvy New York where she was part of the team managing the global IBM account. Rianne Kow has also come on board after a brief sabbatical as director of emerging platforms and e-business for Ogilvy China.

OgilvyOne China president Chris Reitermann (pictured) noted that the trio of key hires would improve the agency’s leadership in the digital space while enhancing its client service offering and strategic digital services.
