Ogilvy’s brief is to improve Honda's motorcycle brand positioning in the local market. This is part of the Japanese company’s push to roll out 20 million motorcycle units in Indonesia by the end of this year.
The win is on a project basis and a 360-degree campaign - consisting of advertising, activation and public relations - will roll out in early 2008.
Indonesia is the world's third-biggest motorcycle market after China and India. Motorcycle sales rose 9.2 per cent to 3.4 million units in the first nine months of 2007. Global demand for motorcycles is set to rise 5.4 per cent annually to 55.7 million units in 2011.
