Ogilvy takes PCCW account

HONG KONG - Ogilvy & Mather has prevailed over sister WPP shop Contract Advertising in the pitch for phase two of the communications for PCCW's home multimedia infotainment service EYE.

“The second phase of the marketing, which will be launched in first quarter of next year, will be content oriented and will emphasise the ‘Touch and Feel opportunity’,” said PCCW marketing and communications assistant VP Bonnie Soo.

Contract currently handles PCCW’s fixed-line and mobile advertising accounts. “We picked O&M as they gave a brilliant presentation with relevant insights that could help to move the product forward,” Soo said.

The infotainment service consists of Now TV’s Business News Channel, CNN, Cartoon Network and English Premier League, among various other information and entertainment offerings.
