TOKYO: Ogilvy & Mather has restructured its Japan operations by setting
up new divisions to house separate communications disciplines, similar
to the organisational structure it has in place in other parts of
Asia.
O&M regional chairman Miles Young said: "After more than five years in
the country, we've now got to the stage of maturity where we need to
give the agency more organisation and management attention." With the
change, regional director of strategy Mark Blair has been named managing
director of O&M Advertising Japan; Tim Solomon, formerly O&M Japan's MD,
has been tapped for the country chief role; and Keizo Yamamoto has been
appointed OgilvyOne MD.
