Ogilvy retains HPB's youth health account

SINGAPORE - Health Promotion Board (HPB) has reappointed Ogilvy & Mather Singapore to handle the creative for its youth health promotion account, worth about S$1.4 million (US$936,000).

The agency won the account after a six-way pitch. HPB issued a tender for this account in the second week of December last year.

Ogilvy & Mather, which has been handling the account since 2007, has been tasked to develop youth-targeted campaigns for smoking control, nutrition and alcohol education, physical activity and Aids awareness, among others. The remit also encompasses events, advertising and direct marketing.

Mark Wong, managing director of Ogilvy & Mather Advertising, commented: “Speaking to youth can be challenging as they typically have short attention spans and health is usually not a priority for them.”

Ogilvy’s appointment follows the appointment of Mindshare as HPB’s media agency-of-record and the reappointment of DDB for the Government body’s adult health business.
