Ogilvy Red Card wins Tivoli Audio without pitching

Ogilvy Red Card has won the business to handle Tivoli Audio, a US maker of audio systems and equipment, charged with building the brand across Asia.

The business was won without a pitch and will cover Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and, possibly, Malaysia. Peter Cheung, project director on the account, said the team has been charged with increasing brand prominence and sales in the region: "We want to raise the brand's profile as an affordable, accessible and desirable product and give it the credibility it deserves," said Cheung.

Cheung will be supported by David Mayo, Ogilvy Red Card's CEO, and Jed Donohoe, ECD. Ogilvy PR will also play a significant role on the account.

"We had a series of very proactive and productive meetings with Ogilvy Red Card. As well as Singapore, we have made appointments through our network of distributors with Ogilvy offices in Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan," said Tivoli international sales director Silvio Pupino.

The audio segment is highly competitive. Mayo said the brand was aligned with international names such as Cambridge Audio and Boston Acoustics. Mayo also attributed the win to the success of Ogilvy Red Card's work for other clients such as The Economist, Nike and Motorola.
