Ogilvy names Baker as chief talent officer

NEW YORK - Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide has appointed its executive VP global human resources for OgilvyOne, Marie-Claire Baker (pictured), as chief talent officer, replacing George Rose, who will be moving to a new role.

Baker will report to Miles Young, CEO of Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide, and will work with the WPP network’s regional and discipline heads to bolster its talent pool and strategy.

Young said: “Marie-Claire epitomises the very best of Ogilvy character, culture and compassion. That’s why I have chosen her to partner with me in the critical area of talent.”

Baker has worked at Ogilvy since 2002, having previously held HR roles in Canada with Allied Domecq Spirits and Wine as well as in the UK with Kimberly-Clark and Britvic Softdrinks.
