Ogilvy, MindShare win MAS business

KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysia Airlines has selected Ogilvy & Mather and MindShare to handle its advertising business.

The two WPP agencies were selected from a shortlist that included three other creative and two other media agencies. Ogilvy fought off BBDO, JWT and TBWA-ISC for the business, while MindShare outgunned Carat and ZenithOptimedia.

An MAS representative declined to comment.

The account shift displaces Publicis Groupe incumbents, Leo Burnett - which moved the business to sister agency Publicis in September after handling it for eight years - and Starcom.
