Ogilvy declines S&W pitch

SINGAPORE - Ogilvy & Mather has declined to participate in S&W's regional pitch while Bates 141 has joined the pitch list along TBWA.

Three agencies, including the two mentioned above are reported to have made their presentations. It is not clear which is the third agency involved.

According to sources, the brand is seeking to step up its marketing activity in Asia.

S&W was acquired by Del Monte in the US in 2001, and Del Monte Pacific now owns the S&W trademark globally except for the Americas, Australia and New Zealand.

The S&W brand originated in the US in 1896 and is known for its premium canned fruit and vegetable products.
