The Hong Kong press has been getting into a froth on the subject of

sexual equality - sparked, no doubt, by the highly intriguing case in

which a former IBM man sued his ex-boss (a woman) for sexual

harrassment.

However, the gorgeous and pouting Georgina Wong, publisher of Business

Traveller Asia-Pacific, claims that any bias against women is not

necessarily the fault of the male population.

Georgina recently became a member of one of Hong Kong's most prestigious

golf clubs through her husband, Spencer Robinson, publisher of Asian

Golf Monthly.

"Whenever I'm introduced to other members, I've found that there's no

shortage of tempting invitations to ladies' days on Monday morning,

Wednesday lunch, Thursday afternoon etc. with the assumption that you're

a tai tai," Georgina said.

So, imagine her delight when an elderly lady member seemed to take a

genuine interest in her career - until learning that both Georgina and

her husband were both in the media industry.

"Were you his secretary before you got married?" the old dear asked.

Ahh.
