OFF THE VINE: A red hot chilli Peter?

An era came to an end in Hong Kong last month, when feisty PR

supremo Peter Randall finally left the Hong Kong Tourist Association to

kick-start his own consultancy, which Vine has unreliably been told is

called "PR + ALL".

Anyway, a little bird at the HKTA's PR department kindly sent us a

couple of photographs of Peter at his finest, demonstrating that which

he apparently does best - i.e. stand around topless stuffing fresh

chillis into his gob.

The photo on the left was taken at the farewell bash the HKTA threw for

young Peter, where the chilli afficionado was presented with the largest

variety of chilli products that anyone has ever seen in one place at one

time.

Peter, you see, eats NOTHING unless chilli of some sort has been added

to it, which would explain some of his more fiery responses to probing

questions from the press about the performance of the HKTA. Now, before

the Official Peter Randall Fanclub writes in to complain about the

paltry size of the photo published on this august page, allow us to

explain.

Having had the opportunity to examine the photograph in question at

close hand with a magnifying glass, Vine decided that in the name of

decency and decorum that our faithful readers be spared too much detail.

But we'll send happily the pic on to anyone who really, really wants it.
