The bulk of WE’s Ocean Park team, including GM Iris Chan and ECD Simon Fung, left the agency in May this year to join former WE MD Andrew Lee’s new agency Metta.
Representatives from WE could not confirm that the agency would attempt to retain the account. A number of agencies are expected to attend the briefing session his afternoon.
Despite the threat posed by the launch of Hong Kong Disneyland in late 2005, Ocean Park has prospered over the past two years. Thanks to an extensive and ongoing redevelopment, coupled with aggressive advertising, Ocean Park has positioned itself as the key destination for local residents and mainland tourists, notching up 4.9 million visitors in 2007 compared to the 4.1 million people tallied by the competition.

HONG KONG - Ocean Park has called an open tender for its creative account, amid suggestions that two-year incumbent WE Marketing will not defend its hold on the business.
