Ocean Park finally hands creative to Metta

HONG KONG - Ocean Park has finally selected Metta, a start-up agency led by executives that have worked on the business since 2004, to handle its creative account, following a lengthy review.

Metta was launched earlier this year by senior executives who departed incumbent agency WE Marketing. WE did not defend its hold on the account.

Initially, eight agencies took part in the pitch, before five - Leo Burnett, McCann Erikson, Bates, Publicis and Metta - were shortlisted.

“We believe our understanding of the Ocean Park’s business, impactful creative ideas and proven success all along are some of the reasons why we won the account,” said Iris Chan, GM of Metta.

“Metta really understands our business,” said Ocean Park marketing director Vivian Lee. “Their creative ideas reflect our brand image well, especially when we asked agencies to use our new themed attraction ‘Amazing Asian Animals’, as the pitch assignment.”
