OCBC Bank calls creative pitch

SINGAPORE - OCBC Bank has called for a creative pitch in Singapore as part of a bi-annual review of its agency partnerships, putting incumbent Y&R on alert.

Koh Ching Ching, head of group corporate communications at OCBC Bank, said: "We are in the process of calling a new pitch for a creative agency to support our above-the-line marketing communications efforts for our key markets, except China.

We have been working with Y & R since January 2006 and the agency has played a key role in raising the profile of our brand and marketing communications efforts. We have a good working relationship with Y&R so naturally the agency will be invited to participate in this pitch exercise as well. We wish Y&R all the best.

Tanuj Philip, Y&R Singapore’s chief executive, added, Y&R Singapore recognises the need for regular agency reviews as healthy and responsible corporate practice. We’ll of course be participating in the pitch and given our good relationship with OCBC as well as more than ten years of banking expertise under our belt, we look forward to continue building on a productive partnership."
