All the agencies who participated in the first regional outdoor
advertising awards emerged as winners because their OA work was being
given a share of the limelight for the first time.
While Ogilvy & Mather's subsidiary in Thailand, Results, took home the
'Best of the Best' prize at the MEDIA-organised 2000 Asian Outdoor
Advertising Awards, all participants who were interviewed by MEDIA
welcomed this new awards.
Even though they had not won the top accolade, they said that at least
now they were getting some credit for their work at a major regional
awards show.
More than 250 people attended the awards lunch presentation in Hong Kong
recently.
The awards' main sponsor was JCDecaux Pearl & Dean. Other sponsors were
Comfort Ads, Media Partners International, MetroAds, Texon Media, Top
Result Promotion and WhiteCo Outdoor Advertising.
