The services will result in an extra 720 seats per
week between Singapore and Darwin.
"Darwin's proximity to Asia has always been a
major selling point for attracting Asian, Asia
Pacific and international meetings and incentives
to the Northern Territory,"
NTCB manager Lynn Fairbrass said.
She added: "With the Darwin Convention and
Exhibition Centre under construction, Darwin and
the NT will now be on the top of the list for many
event planners."
NTCB welcomes additional route from Singapore
DARWIN The Northern Territory Convention Bureau (NCTB) has warmly welcomed news that Singapore low-cost carrier Tiger Airways will begin Singapore-Darwin services from December 19, 2005.
