The unit will be headed by Tuyen Anh Ngo, who will take on the role of social media and strategy director.
Although Vietnam currently ranks around NO. 29 in the global ranking of Facebook users, it is one of the fastest growing Facebook markets in Asia.
The growth of Facebook in Vietnam is tipped at 251 per cent, ahead of markets like Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and India.
Quan Nguyen, Notch Digital Vietnam’s founder and chairman, said the launch of the social media unit completes the agency’s digital offering.
He said, “There is a lot of interest in social media in Vietnam. We see huge opportunities and have an ambition to make a confident foray into this area.”
