Nolte to head MEC Interaction as MD

ASIA-PACIFIC - MEC has moved to bolster its digital Interaction practice, naming Thorsten Nolte to the position of Asia-Pacific MD.

He arrives after regional director Rosemary Lising shifted to a new role as head of search for GroupM Interaction earlier this year.

Nolte, who was managing partner for MEC Interaction Europe, is charged with integrating digital best practice and enhancing relationships with clients and online media. He is expected to focus on clients such as DHL, Mercedes-Benz, Singapore Airlines and Sony Ericsson.

“He’ll be an invaluable asset to us as we move away from digital as a separate specialist service to an integral part of our client servicing,” said Stephen Li, MEC CEO for South and Southeast Asia.
In addition, MEC has named Sharon Wang to lead Interaction in China as national business director, joining from MRM Worldwide.

“Interaction should not be seen as an isolated specialist area, but rather as an integrated part of the full communications teams,” said MEC China CEO Bertilla Teo. “Sharon is the spearhead for increased investment in interaction resources in China.”
