Nokia taps XM for global digital brief

Nokia has awarded a global digital task to Singapore-based XM Asia Pacific, who beat out nine agencies outside of Asia for the brief.

According to a source, the final round pitted XM against Wunderman London and Moving Brands, a digital shop based in London. The assignment is to conceptualise a uniform 'find and compare' tool across Nokia's e-commerce sites, which will engage visitors to choose and cross-compare Nokia models.

Nokia's e-commerce sites are significantly used in Europe and America, though less so in Asia. It is believed that XM Asia was the only agency in the region invited to pitch.

XM Asia is one of several agencies on Nokia Asia-Pacific's digital roster, which also includes 141 Worldwide and OgilvyOne.

"We were naturally thrilled with the prospect of partnering Nokia at a global level, having worked with them regionally for the last seven years," said Paul Soon, managing partner for XM Asia.
