141 Singapore recently won two golds at the Globes Awards for best
use of art direction in the launch of Nokia 8850 and best use of
photography in the launch of Nokia 8210.
"We feel this is a great achievement for an agency that is only three
years old," said Mr Anthony Pounds, managing director of 141
Singapore.
"We were up against some big names in the world of promotions, from
countries such as the UK, where the promotions industry is much more
established."
He said the victory was the result of teamwork, "with the creatives,
account servicing and client all working as one unit. When it works, it
works well. It is easier to produce strong work when you have a great
brand to work with such as Nokia.
"Nokia totally understands the need to have an impact at the retail
level and they are willing to invest in merchandising materials that
reflect the quality of their products and brand.
"They are always looking to us for new ideas.
"Although this can be a challenge, it also makes them an exciting client
to work with, and usually, the result is great work."
The Globes wins followed 141's triumph at the inaugural Promotion
Marketing Awards of Asia in August, where the agency took home three
golds and two silvers.
Mr Pounds set up 141 Singapore three years ago after leaving Indonesia,
where he had worked for both Bates Advertising and 141 Indonesia.
