Nike marketer takes up HSBC brand role
<P>HSBC has named former Nike marketer Rosanna Hon head of brand development and management, replacing Anthony Lau, who will take up a new role as the bank's head of strategic projects. </P> <P>Hon, who has more than 10 years' experience at advertising agencies and on consumer products in Asia, the US and Japan, was most recently GM (women's business) for Nike Japan, based in Tokyo. </P> <P>She also served as Nike Hong Kong marketing director before leaving the brand's local operation in early 2002 to relocate to the manufacturer's US head office in Portland for three years. She described the shift from the sports to banking sector as "challenging".</P> <P>Lau, meanwhile, has been with HSBC since 1987, and in 2004 was named senior branding and marketing communications manager. In his new role, he will lead HSBC's marketing development in new business in Vietnam, Korea and other regional markets.</P> <P><BR> </P>
