Nielsen names new regional chief

HONG KONG - The Nielsen Company has promoted Christophe Cambournac (pictured) to the position of president for Asia, Pacific and India, succeeding Nonoy Niles, who will be leaving Nielsen to return to the Philippines.

Based in Singapore, Cambournac will report to David Calhoun, Nielsen CEO.

Cambournac joined Nielsen in Europe in 2004, and was most recently MD for the company’s regional Bases service.

"The Asia-Pacific region is home to a number of markets with huge potential and all are growing rapidly. We face the same challenges as our clients in the region - rising operating costs, increasing competition and a shortage of talent," said Cambournac.
