Nielsen appoints Meyer as Greater China MD

SHANGHAI - Global information and media firm Nielsen has appointed Jed Meyer (pictured), formerly senior vice-president of DigitalPlus at Nielsen USA, as managing director of media services for Greater China.

In his new role, Meyer will be responsible for the company’s media divisions across Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. He will report to Greater China president Mitch Barns, and Asia-Pacific managing director of media Richard Basil-Jones.

Having spent the past sixteen years with Nielsen, Meyer has also led the firm’s local cable TV and online groups in the US. In his most recent position, he oversaw development of client applications for digital set-top box (STB) data.
