The move sees the husband-and-wife team hand over the reigns of the agency to take on the role of executive chairmen. Ngo moves up from running the agency’s Maxmarketing division for planning and research to become, at 35, one of the youngest CEOs in the region.
She has spent the last 10 years managing clients such as Jollibee, Unilab and Coca-Cola. “I’ve been very lucky to have worked with great Philippine advertisers like Tony Mercado, Minyong Ordonez and, of course, Mon and Abby,” said Ngo.
Ramos, 39, moves from his post as senior executive officer, where he managed accounts including Vicks, TM, Greenwich and Gold Eagle Beer over a 15-year spell.
The management changes marked the end of a strong year for the Publicis Groupe agency, which was named creative agency of the year by the Philippines 4As. It also won in the best management of business category, an award based on revenue growth, profitability and productivity.
Jimenez & Partners was founded in 1989, when Abby Jimenez moved from the then Ace-Compton Advertising (now Ace/Saatchi & Saatchi), where she was CD and COO, to set up her own agency. Husband Ramon soon joined her from Ace-Compton, where he was VP and ECD. The agency later became part of the now defunct D’Arcy network.
