NFC engages Omnicom pair to market marriage portal

SINGAPORE - The National Family Council (NFC), part of Singapore's Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports, has appointed Tribal DDB and PHD to market a Marriage Central portal as part of a through-the-line campaign to promote healthy marriages in the Lion City.

Tribal DDB is believed to have edged past Ogilvy and Up BrandBuzz for the brief to develop an integrated marketing plan with a digital focus. PHD has been appointed for the media component of the campaign that is scheduled to break in the first quarter.

The Marriage Central portal, to be created by Tribal, will act as a one-stop resource centre for couples looking to tie the knot and for married couples to strengthen their marriages.

Tribal DDB Singapore’s client service director, Jimmy Yar, commended the NFC on being “progressive” in its approach to new media to reach out to Singaporeans.

Russell Lai, senior media manager of PHD Singapore added that “beside mass media, we’re also looking at contextual touch points like bridal hubs to reach out to those preparing for marriage.”
