Newsweek revamps online platform

HONG KONG - In a bid to improve its usability among consumers, Newsweek is revamping its online platform to capitalise on the shift to multimedia.

The new site, newsweek.com, features enhanced navigation and new functional aspects, and will incorporate a weekly video message from editor John Meacham. The portal will also display almost 15 blogs on a wide range of topics, including politics, parenting and science, among others.

Since first launching in 1998, Newsweek’s online platform has grown to seven million users monthly, according to Nielsen/Netratings.
