I have to say that at first, I was quite anxious to check out the Casio China site but after spending 10 minutes on it, I was a little disappointed.
Aside from the fact that almost every page is different, the brand image is pretty well rendered throughout the site.
The first thing that caught my attention was that many different links from the homepage were linking to the same flash clip which had in itself the same and more links that were presented on the homepage.
I found this confusing, and this all had a rather claustrophobic feel to it.
The good thing is, when it came to wrist watches, the experience got better.
The product shots are clear as are the product categories.
One of the issues - in my opinion - is the website is so product-oriented that it's hard to identify with the brand, especially for people who are unfamiliar with it.
It simply lacks a human aspect and copy to enhance the user's experience.
Generally, I think the Casio China website is an online rendition of a brochure.
The design is simple and consistent throughout, yet it failed to strike any real emotions within me.
I also think that a promotional aspect is missing which would get users more interested in their products and in their technology as well.
