The free bi-monthly magazine will be distributed on the New World First Ferry ferries to Macau and in the VIP lounges in port. Initial print runs are estimated at 45,000 copies.
Published in both traditional and simplified Chinese, the editorial content will focus on various aspects of Macau as a tourist destination of choice, as well as glossy staples such as lifestyle, fashion and sports.
Famously, Macau topped Las Vegas in gaming revenue in 2006. Now, casino operators and luxury brands are looking to tap into the peripheral money makers - shows and shopping - that have helped ensure the US city’s continued boom. Pure Media hopes that Cruzeiro will attract advertising patacas from such sources hoping to attract the attention of the Macau-headed nouveau riche.
New in-ferry title launches
HONG KONG - Star Harvest Holdings and Pure-media are set to launch Cruzeiro, Hong Kong's first in-ferry magazine, at the end of July.
