The Facebook app was launched as part of the company’s 10th anniversary celebrations to recognise those who have made a difference in the region’s digital advertising industry. It drew to a close last week with the results announcement of Asia’s 10 most popular people in digital advertising.
Khoo was already ranked in the top five during the final week of the campaign, thanks to the endorsement of Malaysian actress Lisa Surihani.
“Let's support a Malaysian to win the Most Popular Person in Digital Advertising in Asia! Kita [literally means “we”] vote Mr. Khoo Kar Khoon ok?” was the rallying message that played a key role in the results.
ihub Media’s Facebook post promoting the campaign has reached out to 600,000 users.
