National Museum gears for revamp

The National Museum has appointed Ogilvy & Mather to handle its brand communications and its re-launch set for December 2006.

Ogilvy will develop the museum's strategy and creative work, with Enterprise IG handling the new corporate identity. The account was won after a pitch last November. "I was impressed with Ogilvy's deep understanding of what was needed," said National Museum director Lee Chor Lin. The National Museum is planning a revamped look and structure to increase accessibility to a wider audience through programming, events and facilities. "We were asked for a credentials pitch and to talk about our work and brand approach. A few weeks later, our research and brand strategy were bought by the Museum," said Mark Wong, managing director, Ogilvy Advertising.
