Naked News to make Korean debut

SEOUL - Naked News, a novelty news, sports and entertainment site featuring stripping presenters, is set to roll out a South Korean version of its programme later this month.

Naked News to make Korean debut
The subscription-based web and mobile transmission will reportedly be filmed in Seoul, and will feature domestic news and presenters.

However, Naked News faces hurdles entering the Korean market following a strengthening of obscenity laws two years ago. The authorities have since blocked a number of ‘adult’ online entertainment sites.

Founder David Warga remained optimistic, indicating in a statement that he expected the programme to be well received by Korea’s “hard working, hard playing” public.

The initiative currently operates in Japan, as well as in North America and Europe.
