Holiday Asia has been signed on as the official inflight magazine

for the new-look Myanmar Airways International.

The airline will purchase 10,000 copies for distribution, with a

wrap-around cover, in April, July and October.

The purchase will boost the magazine's print run during these months to

56,000, representing a circulation increase of more than 60 per cent

over the last ABC audit of 35,644 in 1999, according Venture Asia

Holdings CEO Vijay Verghese.

In a separate initiative, starting next month, Holiday will introduce a

new executive travel section - The Business Travel Guide.

Mr Verghese said it was time to recognise the needs of executive

travellers in a snappy to-the-point section. "This does not deflect our

leisure focus but ensures a more rounded appeal," he said.
