Bose will also serve on Mudra Group's executive board.
The appointment marks a new structure at Mudra Group, which will see Bose handling the agency's media and marketing services offerings. He will also lead the group's foray (including acquisitions and alliances) into rural marketing, public relations, events, sports and retail marketing.
In addition, Pratap has been given the mandate to grow and fast track Rapp Collins and Tribal DDB, the CRM and digital arms of the agency. Bose will also strengthen the group's out-of-home (Primesite), promotional marketing (Kidstuff), trade marketing (Multiplier) and health & lifestyle practices. This is the second top level appointment Mudra has made after hiring Bobby Pawar, as their national creative director last year. He has since been promoted to the post of chief creative officer of the group.
"Over the next three to five years, I see a Mudra Group that will have moved from three verticals - advertising, marketing services and media - to 10 to 15 high quality marketing communications businesses,´said Madhukar Kamath, MD & CEO, Mudra Group. "We believe that each of the marketing services specialists has immense potential and the restructuring will help us realise it. We're thrilled to have Pratap on board. His experience and burning ambition are absolutely in line with our vision for the Mudra Group."
Bose joined Ogilvy in 1993 and was instrumental in setting up Ogilvy Landscapes, the outdoor advertising division. He then went on to head Activation, the merged OOH businesses, which also included Live, Outreach and Signscapes.
